Young Peoples sessions – Preparing for the Future – Online
For young people in St Helens, Knowsley and Warrington.
Following the success of our parents and carers programme we have developed a series of sessions for neurodivergent young people (11 – 18) themselves, diagnosed or not, enabling them to explore their future, their independence, think about education and employment opportunities and navigate their approach to adulthood.
Delivered with inspiring lived experience examples and a focus on positive practical strategies.
It will be delivered across across 7 Wednesday evening sessions 6.30pm – 8.30pm, beginning 10th September supporting and empowering parents and carers with information and strategies around:
- Friendships and relationships
- Health and personal safety
- Transitioning to adult health services
- Transition planning
- Independent travel & managing money
- Community engagement
- Education and training opportunities (FE, apprenticeships etc)
- Workplace readiness
