Autism with a Demand Avoidant Profile (PDA) – Online CNG
This week’s topic will be “Autism with a Demand Avoidant Profile (PDA)”
Many autistic children and young people experience a degree of demand avoidance and for some it can be significant and impact daily life, classed as a “demand avoidant profile”, sometimes referred to as PDA. We explore strategies and the particular style of communication we can use to support demand avoidance.
Our Online Community Network Groups are an alternative for parents and carers in any of our areas to access discussions and workshops covering a different topics around neurodiversity each week. No diagnosis or referral is needed, join us whenever you can or when the topic feels relevant to your family.
These sessions are a webinar format with cameras and microphones switched off, they provide an opportunity to develop your understanding around neurodevelopmental conditions (NDCs), to ask questions and share learning and experience via the chat and Q&A. You can, if you choose to, interact with other parents, the ADDvanced Solutions team and occasionally visiting professionals who can help and support you.
