Autism Learning Programme Tweens and Teens – St Helens
We are delighted to provide an open offer to St Helens parents and carers whose child/young person has received or is awaiting a diagnosis of autism.
(in the unlikely event that the programme is over subscribed, priority would be given to those who already have a diagnosis).
This programme will take place over 3 Fridays- 27th February, 6th March & 13th March from 9:30am-2:45pm in St Helens
you should attend all three sessions. (venue details will be confirmed when your place is confirmed)
This unique learning programme has been designed to support and empower parents and carers in their understanding of how autism is experienced by young people, providing learning, guidance and strategies to better support many aspects of autism and co-occuring difficulties including communication, sensory processing difficulties, transitions, independence and anxiety. This version of the programme with have a particular focus on the challenges autistic young people face during their tween and teen years, high school, puberty, increased social expectations and independence. The programme is commissioned and funded by NHS Merseycare.
